Feature - Globus compute "mode" features and tests

When the simulator function is configured to be sent to a globus compute endpoint, the Manager becomes the only necessary process, since it also runs the gen.

classic and "new" style sims are both supported. sim output/input are both handled/encapsulated as though they came from "virtual" workers.
