JetBrains recently announced that they are bringing in the ktfmt formatter project under the Kotlin umbrella and that it will become the default and recommended formatter. I have since tried it out in a few repos and I think it works well even though I sometimes wish it had more flexibility. Still, this is a great choice here IMO.
