Draft. A review checkpoint, not ready to merge. The machinery is done; the content is parked; one editorial decision is open.

What this adds

  • A notes content collection at equanimi.tech/notes: an evergreen, interlinked garden (Astro content collection, no new client JS).
  • Per-section depth-on-demand via native <details> (dogfoods Attentional Granularity).
  • RSS feed at /rss.xml via @astrojs/rss (the only new dependency).
  • A shared Base.astro shell, with the landing page refactored onto it.
  • Spec + Phase-1 plan in site/docs/2026-06-17-notes-*.md, including the evergreen = stamped attestation seam (build deferred).

State: everything is parked as draft

All 11 notes (start-here + nine principles + the Glance/Press/Ask ladder) are draft: true, so they build no public pages and stay out of the index and RSS. The public garden is currently empty by design.

These notes are scribe-drafted (assembled from the corpus by an AI), not yet in Rafa's voice. Per the scribe/stamp model: the scribe drafts, the principal's seal approves. Nothing reads as Rafa's own words until he rewrites or stamps it.

What merging would do

  • Put the homepage Base.astro refactor live (adds a "Notes" nav link).
  • Publish an empty /notes index + RSS. No note content goes public while notes are draft.

Open before un-drafting and merging

How the scribe/stamp honesty shows up: an "About these notes" entry that sets the contract, then publish-as-marked-seedlings / rewrite-in-voice / stamp. Deferred: the stamp/seal badge (signet verify at build) and Phase 2 stacking columns.

…notes

Principle notes are seedlings grown from the landing-page design tests.
Attentional Granularity demonstrates the <details> zoom it describes.

Rewritten from zenborg/docs/principles.md (canonical definitions + design
tests), with cross-product examples from keel, respost, secretariat, signet,
and lineage from torchbearer. Depth layers via <details> dogfood Attentional
Granularity. No longer thin stubs.

The reading column (62ch) was also constraining the structural grids,
so §work projects and §framework principles were jammed into a narrow
ribbon. Add a --measure-wide (84ch) track for grids and the page shell
while prose self-caps to --measure.

- main / .section__inner / .footer__inner use --measure-wide
- .prose caps the wrapper and bare <p class="prose"> intros to 62ch
- footer blurb: mono+faint+32ch to sans+muted+46ch (reads as prose, AA)
- footer columns rebalanced 1.8/1/1 with wider gap; base line muted
- principle number-to-text gap loosened 0.25rem to 0.75rem
- align header/body/footer to one spine (was 72/62/72)

…(draft)

draft:true, so it builds no public page and stays out of the index and RSS
until the publish gate is flipped.

Scribe-drafted seedlings kept out of the public build until Rafa rewrites
them in his own voice or stamps them (scribe drafts, the seal approves).
Reversible; nothing deleted, nothing deployed.
